Abstract:
Europe's newest toll tunnel is attracting a decent number of heavy trucks, but they took longer to take to the new facility than commuters. The Westerschelde Tunnel (WT) in Zeeland in southern Holland is running about 10k to 14 k vehicles per day. It hit the 11k mark in its first week when it opened just a year ago in March 2003.
